Wow, the tomatoes and tomatillos are thriving on the warm and sunny weather we have been having. The plants are almost as big now as they were in the middle of August last year. This is also the first time I have trellised tomatillos. I don’ think they really need trellising because they grow like crazy but I hope that it will make the harvesting go much easier. So far so good as long as they don’t take over the whole greenhouse. I have eaten a few early cherry tomatoes that have been excellent and this coming Tuesday we will do our first small harvest for the Sugarsnap kitchen.
