Venues for Conferences

by Abbey Duke, Founder & CEO

We love to cater conferences — from the welcome reception cocktail party to the breakfast, lunch snacks and copious coffee of the daytime sessions. Conferences are a great window into an organization and their culture. We always meet interesting people who are passionate about their work.

Recently, we’ve catered multi-day conferences hosted on topics ranging from historic preservation building trades to childhood trauma to socially responsible investing.

Many conferences take place in hotels, but there are options for venues where you can host a conference AND have Sugarsnap cater it. Here are some:

Main Street Landing
Right on Battery Street in Burlington, the Waterfront location can’t be beat. There are several hotels in walking distance. And between the Lake & College building and the Train Station, there are multiple rooms available for breakouts Plus, there is a large theater for presentations (and all the latest in A/V).

Shelburne Farms If your conference is in the warmer months, Shelburne Farms is a great option. It’s beautiful and the Coach Barn has multiple large rooms and a courtyard.

Champlain Valley Expo
If you have a large group, the Expo is the way to go. We catered a conference with 600 people seated in one room!
