Growing in the Greenhouse

by Abbey Duke, Founder & CEO

Last year was our first year with our very own greenhouse. Well… the heat isn’t hooked up, so it’s really more of a hoophouse or hothouse.  Regardless, it has dramatically changed the Sugarsnap Farm.  Last year we grew hundreds and hundreds of pounds of beautiful tomatoes. And this year they are on their way to another bumper crop.  The greenhouse has also helped us increase our production of seedlings, microgreens and shoots.  Let me show you.

Here are the tomatoes growing in nice lines. They are starting to to climb.

Here are pea seeds getting ready to sprout and become delicious pea shoots in a very short time.

And here are pea shoots ready to harvest.

My daughter Remy likes to help water the greenhouse.
