Summer fruits

by Abbey Duke, Founder & CEO

The only thing I ever use tomatillos for is salsa verde. I am sure there are other uses, someone the other day suggested putting them sliced on a flatbread. Regardless of how they are prepared I am always excited to harvest them. They are just so attractive and unusual in their paper lantern skins. They are the first solanaceae I can harvest, the same plant family as tomatoes, peppers, eggplants. They also grow like a weed which makes me feel like I am really doing something right even when I am doing almost nothing at all.
