Alekks and Jack wanted to have an informal and fun reception -- without a sit down dinner -- for their wedding at Shelburne Vineyards. We steered them to a service style that we call "walk-around stations". Dinner is served at small plate stations and guests are able to eat and mingle over an extended period of time.
The result was a lovely reception with great food and a lot of conversation and laughter.
We provided these three savory stations:
Soft Taco Station
Guests chose between faijita chicken, pork carnitas and black beans. They then added their own toppings, including cheddar, lettuce, cilantro-lime sour cream, jalapeno lime slaw, pickled jalapenos, corn-avocado salsa, pico de gallo and tomatillo salsa
Korean BBQ Lettuce Wraps
Bulgogi beef served in lettuce wraps. Guests then added toppings including mung bean sprouts, chopped peanuts, scallions and kimchi, pickled vegetables and sambal.
Local Cheeses and Vegetables Table:
Vermont artisan cheeses with garnishes and crackers an seasonal vegetables with dips.
Shelburne Vineyards is one of our recommended venues for weddings and other events - we had our staff holiday party here in 2015! Their event facilities include a tasting room, loft, and outdoor space - all stunning with their earthy tones, tranquil lighting, and of course, fields of grapes.
