Sugarsnap has proudly served food on nearly every type of table in Chittenden County (and beyond) since 2003 — from family kitchens to board rooms to wedding receptions. We have been around for quite a while and look forward to bringing farm-to-table fresh, made-from-scratch foods to many more tables, including yours, in the years to come.
Sugarsnap was started by Abbey Duke, Kirk, and Katie Fiore as a small, bootstrapped farm and retail store connected to Burlington’s Intervale . Kirk and Katie left the business in 2009, but Abbey is still leading the way into the future.. Opening in December of 2003, Sugarsnap has come so far – rethinking and perfecting our approach of perfecting our service and customer satisfaction.
Our original focus was freshly prepared take-home dinners and lunches. However, over the years, catering became a more and more important part of the business. In 2010, Sugarsnap underwent a large expansion and opened up a large hospitality and commissary kitchen in Technology Park, South Burlington. Since then, we’ve expanded to Sugarsnap at ECHO on the waterfront and we now offer a full bar catering service.
* Our own farm and the network of local growers who supply the fantastic ingredients that we use. We are lucky to have access to such wonderful ingredients. And it is amazing how much more is possible and available now when compared to 10 years ago.
* Our fantastic team of cooks, servers, and workers. The Sugarsnap team works really hard with awesome attention to detail. For a small business, Sugarsnap’s operations can become pretty complicated. Every day, this great team makes delicious food from scratch and ensures that our customers receive their order in a timely fashion with the utmost satisfaction.
